Transportation in Bangkok

Bus
Public buses are plentiful , you can get to most destinations within bangkok for a minimum fare of 6 baht. Air-conditioned buses have minimum and maximum fares of 10 and 22 baht. Taxi

Taxis in city streets charge by meter. They charge a minimum of 35 baht for the first 3 kilometres, and about 5 baht per kilometre thereafter. If the taxi driver doesn't want to use the meter politly say you want to look for another taxi since you wont get the best price if the meter is off. Passengers must pay tolls in the case of using an expressway.

Tuk-Tuk

A fun way of exploring Bangkok but becarefull as it can often be a tourist trap, Bargain your fare in advance. These open-air motorised taxis are popular for short journeys. Short trips should cost about 30 baht.

BTS Sky Train

BTS sky trains is an easy and fast way to get you somewhere in the main Sukhumvit, Silom and Phahonyothin roads . The BTS will be extremly usefull during rush hours when traffic isnt moving at all at streat level. routes connect Bangkoks leading hotels and major shopping areas . Subway
