Nightlife in Phuket
If you still have the power after all the daytime activities Phuket has a wide range of nightlife and entertainment to offer. Allmost all the tourist areas have beer bars where you can have a drink, If bigg discos, nightclubs and a wide variety of bars is your thing though you will have to go to patong beach where most of the tourists will be enjoying their nights
There are 4 areas to go out in the night Patong, Karon, Kata and Phuket City. Each has a wide variety of discos, beer bars, gogo bars and pubs that offer live music.
Beer bars
beer bars are small open air bars with up to 10 girls working in the bar and they will do about everything they can to lure customers to their bar. Try to walk past a bar without your wife, then up to five girls will surround you trying to drag you into their bar while grabbing your arm or whatever they can get a hold on. It's lots of fun but if you don't want to drink at that bar you will have to fight your way out.
Playing bar games with the girls are always popular among tourists. They are very experienced in playing games like four in a row, wood games, dice game and backgammon.
Almost every beer bar looks more or less
the same. So it's difficult to say that one is better than the other.
Just walk around, take a look, sit down for a beer, walk more and soon or
later you will find a bar that will have everything that you need to enjoy a
good night out.
Discos
If you want to go out to party at one of the discos be ready to have a great night of dancing in a good atmosphere the best place for all of this would be patong, there you will have a wide selection of discos you can go to each catering their own music and crowd. The best way to do this is maybe just checking a few out since most of them are within walking distance and you can allways ask the staff to have a look around before having to pay the entrance fee ( usually 100 baht ).
Discos you can go to are : Tiger Discotheque, Tai Pan, Banana Disco, Safari Disco and Pub and Baya Beach disco all these will be found in patong.
Go-go bars
When you go to a gogo bar you will often find girls wearing nothing more than a bikini, or even less depending on the bar and the local authorities. The girls may even spend time with the customers when they are not on stage and, like beer bars, girls can have “lady drinks” bought for them and are available for take-out. The Prices for drinks will be higher then beer bars. If you like to sit back, relax and enjoy a cold beer without seeing yourself dancing to much the gogo bars are the place for you to go
