Travel to Phuket by air Traveling to Phuket by air is the easiest way to getting there, Phuket has an international airport which has numerous flights every day from Europe and Asia. Most people will fly trough Bangkok first before travelling to Phuket. But if you haven't booked your flight in advance with your travel agency there are many daily domestic flights from Bangkok to Phuket. Airlines that fly to Phuket are Bangkokairways, Nok air, Air Asia, Orient Thai and Thai airways. Phuket airport transportation When you arrive at Phuket airport if your hotel hasn't arranged transportation for you it should be no problem for you to get a taxi, rent a car or hire a limosine to take you anywhere you want. The drive from Phuket airport should take you about 45 minutes to Phuket City or 60 minutes to Patong Beach. Travel to Phuket by car Take Route 4 from Bangkok to the south. Along the way pass the provinces of Nakhon Pathom, Ratchaburi, Phetchaburi, Prachuap-Khirikan, and at Chumphon go right to Ranong. From Ranong, go south through Kraburi and Kapoe Districts to Phang-nga Province. In Phang-nga the road passes through Kuraburi, Takuapa, and Thai Muang Districts before reaching the town of Kok Kloy. cross the Sarasin Bridge to Phuket Island. The distance is 867 kilometers.
